The ACCESS for ELLs Score Reports provide specific information on students’ academic English language proficiency. During this training, participants will explore how the WIDA Standards and Assessment System is connected to the ACCESS for ELLs Score Reports. Participants will examine the different types and uses of score reports. They will also make connections between the students’ proficiency scores and WIDA Performance Definitions.

This training is designed for ELL educators, K-12 educators, administrators, and ELL coordinators with students who have been administered one of the ACCESS for ELLs suite of assessments in grades K-12.

This WIDA MODEL supplemental webinar series is for educators who are preparing to administer the WIDA MODEL Online assessment for grades 1-12. WIDA MODEL can be used as an identification/placement assessment for newly enrolled multilingual learners or as an interim progress monitoring assessment. During this series, participants will learn how to administer and score each of the four domain assessments as well as how to navigate and perform key functions in the MODEL Online Test Administrator Interface.

WIDA MODEL is a series of English language proficiency assessments for Kindergarten through grade 12. However, WIDA MODEL for Kindergarten is only available in a paper kit format. Educators can use MODEL as an identification/placement assessment for newly enrolled multilingual learners or as an interim progress monitoring assessment. Participants will learn how to administer, monitor and score as applicable each language domain in the assessment.

This 90-minute webinar is an overview of the WIDA Screener for Kindergarten. Participants will be able to orient themselves to the materials and resources available to prepare for test administration. Basic logistics for preparation, administration and scoring will be addressed. This overview pairs well with the WIDA online training course for WIDA Screener for Kindergarten. Participants will have a live facilitator to answer questions.

Participants will work collaboratively to strengthen their understanding of how to administer and score WIDA Screener for Kindergarten by working hands on assessment materials to practice both handling the materials and scoring different domains of WIDA Screener for Kindergarten. Participants will build interrater reliability using the WIDA Screener for Kindergarten writing rubric.
