Don’t Miss the 4th Annual VirtuEL Conference
Since 2017, two generous and innovative educational pioneers, Carol Salva and Tan Huynh, have hosted a free virtual conference called VirtuEL. The goal of this conference has been to provide free professional learning opportunities for teachers of language learners.
By removing much of the physical, financial, and time barriers associated with in-person conferences, teachers worldwide have access to exceptional, interactive professional learning. This year VirtuEL features a diverse list of teachers, authors, and consultants from around the world who will be coming together to share strategies.
The focus this year will be on supporting multilingual learners during distance learning, and the keynote guest is none other than Larry Ferlazzo. Join VirtuEL for live sessions on July 25 starting at 10 AM EST, or watch the sessions afterward as all sessions will be recorded and made freely available after the conference. WIDA presenters Christina Nelson and Jon Nordmeyer will present a session called Virtual Fishbowl: Teacher and Student Discourse Moves.
