July 28, 9:00-10:00 am EDT

Andrea Honigsfeld and Jon Nordmeyer offer a free webinar on collaboration to serve multilingual learners. We'll discuss why schools need to shift from a 20th century to a 21st century model of serving multilingual learners. We'll explore how to make this shift from isolation, fragmentation and segregation to cohesion, collaboration and integration.  You will be introduced to a cycle of collaboration including co-planning, co-teaching, co-assessing and co-reflecting. We will also share resources for continued learning.

Virtual Collaboration Course: Stretching Your Co-Teaching

August 18 - September 8

How do teachers work together to serve multilingual learners in today's schools?

Based on the popular workshop Stretching Your Co-Teaching: Collaborating with WIDA, this deep-dive virtual workshop will energize your collaboration and set you up for success in the coming school year!

Together we will consider the WHY, the WHAT and the HOW of collaborative planning, teaching, assessing and reflecting.

You will learn different strategies and practical tools that you can use right away, whether you are teaching face-to-face, virtually or in a hybrid format.

These sessions will also integrate new ideas from recent articles that Jon and Andrea have co-authored, including Teacher Collaboration During a Global Pandemic and The Yoga of Collaboration.

We will utilize an interactive blended format, which combines both synchronous webinars with asynchronous dialogue, application activities, and self-access resources.
