New WIDA Early Years webpage: Early Language Development

Visit the new Early Language Development webpage for tools and resources to help early care and education (ECE) professionals plan equitable and engaging learning opportunities for young multilingual children.

The webpage includes free resources and tools from the new Making Connections series, a resource recently released by the Early Years team for member states:

  • A Language-Focused Approach to Planning Equitable Opportunities allows readers to learn more about a language-focused approach to planning equitable learning opportunities for multilingual children.
  • The Language-Focused Planning Tool is designed to assist ECE practitioners embed a language-focused approach to planning.
  • The Language-Focused Planning Tool: Annotated Guide provides guiding questions to help ECE practitioners use the Language-Focused Planning Tool.
