WIDA Virtual Institute: Facilitated cohort option

Participate in the new WIDA Virtual Institute with your colleagues to learn how WIDA assessments and resources support collaborative teaching and learning.

The new Virtual Institute is an immersive online learning experience and is a first step in learning how WIDA assessments and resources work together to support multilingual students and their teachers. WIDA is excited to offer a local cohort option for the Virtual Institute.

By participating in this new course with colleagues at your school, you can deepen your understanding and collaboratively plan for implementation of WIDA standards and assessments. In order to support school-based teams learning together, WIDA will provide one free registration for you or a colleague to facilitate discussion with groups of five or more educators from your school who register as a cohort. We recommend that your local facilitator has previous experience with WIDA resources and assessments.

The course is intended for educators who are new to WIDA, or for experienced teachers who want to learn about the new WIDA English Language Development Standards Framework, 2020 Edition. Visit the International Institutes webpage to learn more about the course.

For more information about how to register as a cohort with a designated facilitator, please contact Fatima Rivera at fatima.rivera@wisc.edu.
