Andrew Bennett is a State Relations Specialist on the Consortium and State Relations Team at WIDA. In this role, he collaborates with member states to support the implementation of WIDA’s research-based and trusted resources for multilingual learners. With more than 21 years of experience in multilingual learner education across both K–12 and higher education settings, Andrew brings a deep understanding of language development, instructional design, and policy alignment.
He holds a B.S. in Political Science from Utah State University, an M.A. in Language Cognition and Teaching from National Tsing Hua University, and an Ed.S. in Educational Technology from Boise State University. His interdisciplinary academic background informs his collaborative approach to advancing fair educational opportunities for multilingual learners. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys hiking, gardening, and discovering new local food spots.
