This report, Advancing Implementation: Phase 2: Research on English Language Development Standards, Part 2: A Case Study of Transformative Practices in a Rural North Carolina District, presents an in-depth case study of how the WIDA English Language Development Standards Framework, 2020 Edition, is being implemented in a single K–12 system, with a particular focus on multilingual learner (ML) teacher agency, collaboration, and equity. The second part of this two-part study examines teacher agency, collaboration, and blended instruction; highlights innovative practices and early adopters; and offers implications for strengthening equitable, standards-aligned instruction and professional learning for multilingual learners.
