Beth works as an Assessment Content Specialist at WIDA. She received her B.A. in Linguistics and French and her M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education with K-12 ESL Program Specialist Certification.
Before coming to WIDA, Beth worked as a Language Testing Specialist at the Center for Applied Linguistics, partnering with WIDA to develop test items and rater training and scoring materials for the ACCESS for ELLs assessment. She has also served as an English language instructor abroad in France and as an ESOL and classroom teacher in northern Virginia. In her free time, Beth enjoys traveling and cheering on all of her favorite Pittsburgh sports teams.
