Monique Yoder is an assessment researcher with the Assessment team at WIDA. She participates in research projects that support K–12 multilingual learners, their educators, and their parents/guardians. She also contributes her test development expertise to WIDA's English language proficiency assessments. For example, Monique carries out user acceptance technical checks and evaluates test items and graphics during annual bias, sensitivity, and content review.
Monique has taught English for academic purposes in various contexts, including the Middle East, Europe, and the US. Monique is a PhD Candidate in Second Language Studies at Michigan State University. She also holds an MA in Language Testing from Lancaster University in the UK, an MA in TESOL from Michigan State University, and a BA in English from Northern Michigan University.
