Danielle is the Director of Psychometrics and Research at WIDA and a member of the Assessment team. She oversees the psychometric and technical components of WIDA’s assessment suite, including assessment research, data management and analysis, and technical assistance to State Education Agencies (SEAs).
Danielle’s career spans operational testing, educational research, and state assessment and accountability. She began her career in operational testing, gaining experience with the development and delivery of large-scale assessments. She then joined the University of Minnesota, where she led a research center focused on applied educational research and quantitative methods. Most recently, she served as Director of Assessment and Accountability at the Vermont Agency of Education, where she gained firsthand experience leading assessment and accountability work within a state education agency. These experiences give Danielle a broad perspective on educational assessment.
Danielle holds a B.A. in Psychology and Communication Sciences from the University of Vermont, an M.A. in Educational Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Quantitative Methods in Education from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities.
