Lauren is an eLearning instructional designer for the Digital Learning Innovation Team (DLITe) at WIDA. In her role, she designs and develops online digital learning experiences for pre-K-12 educators serving multilingual learners. Prior to joining WIDA, Lauren worked as an instructional designer in the transportation and supply chain industries. Lauren received her Master of Education with an emphasis in Adult Learning and Bachelor of Arts in English from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. She recently completed the Information Accessibility Design and Policy certification from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where she learned how to build accessible digital experiences. Lauren also has a passion for the English learning field—she received her TESOL certification during her undergraduate studies. Lauren lives in Chicago, and in her free time she enjoys practicing yoga, traveling, and walking along Lake Michigan with her dog.
