Training Requirements

All Corporation Test Coordinators (CTCs) and WIDA Test Coordinators (WTCs) are required to successfully complete the WIDA ACCESS Online: Administration training course. Many components of this training course pertain to test coordinator tasks and responsibilities.

Test Administrators (TAs) must successfully complete the WIDA assessment training courses for the corresponding WIDA assessments (Screener and ACCESS) they will administer. Training courses are accessed via the WIDA Secure Portal and delivered in Canvas. Contact your CTC or WTC if access is needed.

Training requirements, including required training course certification dates, are detailed on pages 19 through 21 of the 2025-2026 WIDA Assessment Guidance. An Assessment Training Checklist for Test Administrators is available in Appendix B.

Note: All TAs administering WIDA ACCESS for Kindergarten must complete the new WIDA ACCESS for Kindergarten: Administration and Scoring training course on or after September 29, 2025. Tests administered by TAs without the appropriate training certifications will be invalidated.
