Call for Nominations for WIDA Fellows

Seven WIDA Fellows will be selected to be featured as exemplars of practice in videos and to provide guidance and feedback on the development of professional learning materials. WIDA Fellows will be awarded a $2,000 stipend and a waiver of the registration fee to attend the 2019 WIDA Annual Conference in Providence, Rhode Island, October 15-18, 2019, at which members of the WIDA and ICMEE teams will meet with WIDA Fellows for a full day during the pre-conference. The purpose of this meeting is to collaborate with other WIDA Fellows and provide WIDA and ICMEE with practitioner feedback.

All nominees must be exemplary teachers of bilingual and/or multilingual learners and must be willing to participate in the 2019 WIDA Fellows annual meeting. Self-nominations will not be accepted.

To nominate an educator, complete the WIDA Fellows Nomination Form.

Note the following Nomination Form requirements: Nominators will be asked to describe various facets of the nominee's work in serve of multilingual learners. In addition, nominators will need to collect and share the nominee's resume, statement of commitment, and a 3-5 minute video. In the form you will need to include:

  • The nominee's resume/cv (as a pdf, doc, or docx less than 100 MB);
  • The nominee's statement of commitment (maximum one page of less than 100 MB);
  • A link to the nominee's video statement (maximum 5 minutes in length).

The nominee's video statement should respond to two to three of the "Tell Us More" questions located in the form.
