Anna Rhoad-Drogalis is an Inclusion Researcher at WIDA. Anna’s work has been focused on improving educational opportunities for students through mixed methods and quantitative education research that can be applied to inform policy and support evidence-based decision making. She provides research support to the Advancing Alternate English Language Learning Assessment (Advancing ALTELLA) project that focuses on English Learners with the most significant cognitive disabilities. Anna's current research focuses on understanding how educators make decisions regarding accessibility, accommodations, and alternate assessments. She is also involved in research studies on increasing accessiblity on WIDA asssessments for multilingual learners with low vision.
Anna has a Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in quantitative methods and a M.S. in Statistics, Measurement, Assessment, and Research Technology from the University of Pennsylvania. She also has a B.S. in Human Communication Sciences and Psychology from Northwestern University. She completed a postdoctoral research position at the Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy at the Ohio State University.
