Reframing Education of Long Term English Learners

Reframe and elevate the language development of your multilingual learners identified as long-term English learners (LTELs) by engaging in this workshop designed for both K-12 educators and administrators. Help your students break through obstacles and reach higher levels of English proficiency that brings them confidence and academic purpose.

What to expect

Participants will have an opportunity to reframe the education of multilingual learners classified as LTELs. We will examine, explore and question assumptions educators may have and recognize barriers for these students.

As you navigate through this workshop, you will find practices to support the instruction and language development of these multilingual learners.

Participants who complete this workshop will be able to

  • Examine assumptions that create educational barriers for multilingual learners who have been classified as LTELs.
  • Identify practices that address the unique educational needs of multilingual learners who could be classified as LTELs.
