This one-day academy is designed for Spanish/English bilingual K-12 educators, administrators, coaches, curriculum coordinators and support staff with minimal experience using el Marco de los estándares del desarrollo auténtico del lenguaje español de WIDA (Marco DALE).
What to Expect
This Spanish and English bilingual academy will serve as an introduction to the Marco DALE. Through an interactive and applied approach, participants will connect the pedagogical foundations of the Marco DALE to inform instructional planning and engage in discussions and activities that leverage the pedagogical framework, tools, and resources.
Participants will explore how WIDA language development frameworks and practices such as translanguaging and multiliteracy-focused teaching can be integrated into instruction to support the linguistic and cultural identities of diverse students and families.
This academy will be delivered primarily in Spanish.

Location and Travel
The academy will take place at a hotel, and the specific hotel name for each location are listed on the registration form. Registrants will receive an email with more detailed hotel booking information, including how and when to make arrangements. Registrants should not make any travel arrangements until receiving further information from WIDA. All hotel booking and charges are the responsibility of the registered participant.
WIDA is not able to assist with educators’ travel arrangements to and from the event. All registered participants are responsible for booking their transportation and/or flights.
Travel, hotel, other meals and incidentals are not included in the registration fee.
