Checklist: Onboarding to the Pearson WIDA MODEL Online System
Getting Started
As you prepare to implement WIDA MODEL Online on the new Pearson platform, this guide is designed to support a smooth and successful transition.
Onboarding to Your Pearson Account
- Learn more about TestNav system requirements and download TestNav on the Technology Resources section of the WIDA MODEL Resource Center.
- Visit the WIDA MODEL Resource Center for training on navigating the Pearson test management platform (LaunchPad and ADAM), links to test directions and practice tests, and more.
- Account administrators should log in to their Pearson MODEL account (login credentials were sent by email in May from 'Pearson LaunchPad'). If you believe that you should have received this email and did not please check your spam folder or navigate to the LaunchPad login page and click “First Time Sign In/Reset Password.” This will resend the welcome email.
- Begin to set up your account by creating school level organizations (locations), adding additional users to your account and rostering students. If you are unsure who the account administrator is for your school or district, contact Pearson Customer Support.
- Use the following resources to learn how to use the Pearson platforms and administer the WIDA MODEL Online assessment:
- Review the LaunchPad User Guide and ADAM User Guide
- Take the LaunchPad/ADAM Training Course (alternative to reading the guides - available mid-July)
- View the Recorded Training Webinar or register for the upcoming live training webinar on August 6, 3-5 p.m. CT (alternative to reading the guides)
- Review the updated Test Administrator Manual as well as other test administration and scoring training materials (Login to ADAM via LaunchPad to view/download these resources)
- As determined by your testing window plans, begin testing on the Pearson platform for the 2025-2026 school year.
