This fourth edition of WIDA's COVID-19 report describes the outcomes of English learners (ELs) across the WIDA Consortium based on their scores in WIDA ACCESS Online from 2018 through 2025. English learners' average proficiency remains below pre-pandemic levels; however, in the most recent academic year (2024–2025), overall English language proficiency and growth increased for ELs across the WIDA Consortium.
